SLC was formed in 2014 as a law firm. As the regulatory landscape for the technology sector developed, we recognised that clients and in fact, the field, required a more comprehensive solution to the multi-faceted and cross-jurisdictional issues arising. While retaining its law firm status, SLC has evolved into a compliance solution provider in the space of technology law with a unique focus on data protection and AI governance.
As one of the few firms in the country dedicated to this sector, we are committed to providing tailored solutions to meet the unique needs of our clients. Our law firm division registered as Segaran Law Chambers, specialises in commercial and corporate advisory, uniquely to the technology sector. Here we work in project teams to advise on regulatory and legislative compliance, project advisory, contractual negotiation and preparation and corporate structuring.

In line with the blistering-paced advancements in the tech regulatory landscape, this division is devoted to rigorous research on pivotal areas impacting the legal and technology sectors. Through collaboration with leading institutions and industry experts, SLC Research publishes insights that shape the future of legal standards in emerging fields. Our research has been cited in national-level policy documents in Malaysia and we aim to continue leading the conversation.
